Hello,
my name is Barbara Anne Fink Robertson, I am looking for my past relative Peter Fink, born probably 19 June 1862 and came to United States in 1883 to Ohio or Lowemont, Leavenworth County, Kansas. I do not know how to communicate very well I am sorry.

HI Barbara-Anne,
ba-ba-ba-bababra-Anne (Beach Boys), first of all you should tell us where Peter F. was born, meantime you should try
1. www.familysearch.org and
2. www.rootsweb.com
In lac of information could I give you no further infos. Did Peter came alone as a probably "wild rover" with 21, or with his parents?
Be good and regards,
Peter

Yes, I like the song Barbara Ann. Was popular when I was a teenager so a lot of fun for me.

Peter Fink was born I believe in Triftensberg, Chad, Bavaria. I do not know whether he came alone. But yes, he was a young single man and married Barbara Ann Weisinger here in Kansas and had the first of 14 children in 1892. My father, Louis Martin Fink, was born December 27, 1895. Exactly one year prior to that on December 27, 1894, his brother Peter Fink Junior was born. My Grandmere was busy lady I think.
Do you know the song, "Going to Kansas City" per chance? It is fun also.
Pleasant wishes to you.............

HALLO, PETER..... NICE TO HEAR FROM YOU AGAIN. YOU SEEM TO BE QUITE AN OUTGOING FELLOW, FUN. WHAT TWO ADDRESSES ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT TRIFTENSBERG IS PART OF THE COUNTY OF CHAM (MAYBE I AM WRONG) IN BAVARIA (DO YOU CALL THAT BAVARIA BAYERN?) IN THE BAVARIAN FOREST REGION? I STUMBLE ABOUT BUT I HAVE FOUND AN EXCELLENT ON SITE DICTIONARY FOR GERMAN THAT I WILL START TO USE AND THAT SHOULD HELP. YES THE SONG WE SPEAK OF IS ONE AND THE SAME. THAT IS A FUN SONG TOO. WHY DO YOU KNOW SO MANY OF THE SONGS? HAVE YOU BEEN TO THE UNITED STATES? YOU KNOW I CANNOT BE GOOD SO WHY DO YOU ASK? AND I BET YOU ARE NOT VERY GOOD EITHER, AM I RIGHT? IF I CANNOT BE GOOD THOUGH, I TRY NOT TO GET IN TROUBLE ANYWAY. BEST REGARDS FOR A HAPPY SAFE DAY TO YOU PETER............................................ANNE

HALLO AGAIN, PETER, I FORGOT TO SAY, IT HAS BEEN A LONG TIME BUT MANY YEARS AGO MY BROTHER LOUIS JR. STUDIED THE LANGUAGE OF GERMANY FOR 3 YEARS AND WAS QUITE GOOD BUT I BET HE HAS FORGOTTEN A LOT NOW. HE WOULD PROBABLY BE ABLE TO READ THIS FAR EASIER THAN I, BUT HE IS OLDER THAN ME AND STUBBORN AND DOESN'T WANT ANYTHING TO DO WITH COMPUTERS. BUT I LOVE HIM ANYWAY. MY GRANDMOTHER MARY FRANCES WEISINGER NEVER DID SPEAK ENGLISH WELL AT ALL THOUGH SHE WAS HERE FOR MANY MANY YEARS. I THINK IT WAS BECAUSE OF BEING ISOLATED ON A FARM AND EVERYONE WAS AROUND SPOKE GERMAN. I KNOW WHERE THE FARM WAS AND IT WAS QUITE REMOVED FROM EVERYONE. YOU ARE RIGHT, MY FATHER WAS QUITE A "LADIES MAN" AND STAYED SINGLE TIL 45 OR SO, SO I BET MY GRANDFATHER WAS THE SAME, ALTHOUGH HE DID NOT MARRY THAT LATE. BUT I HAVE BEEN TOLD BY MY FAMILY THAT PETER, MY GRANDFATHER, WAS MEAN SOMETIMES AND SOMETIMES DRANK TOO MUCH. MAYBE THAT IS MORE THAN WHAT YOU CARE TO KNOW, BUT I HAVE SAID IT ANYWAY. AGAIN, BEST WISHES FOR A SUCCESSFUL DAY, OR NIGHT, WHATEVER.....YOUR FRIEND.................ANNE

Hi "Darlin Pretty",
do you know that one (Dire Straits)?
Irmgard, a real friendly and very nice member of this board, gave me following link for you. Here it comes:

http://fernabfrage.ahnenforschung.net/

Look first at Ellis Island, but you could also send your requests to Washington, they shoud have an huge lib. about german immigrants.

I could not find "Triftenberg" as Village or City yet, but Cham allright. Maybe your Triftenberg is no longer as Village named, but Cham growed up and now in 2005 is it maybe only Cham. Who Knows?
We will see. Did you got my eMail yet, with the map of Upper Bavarien Forrest and Cham? Upper Bavarian Forrest means "Oberer Bayerischer Wald" and you are right - in our language is Bavaria = Bayern.

About your other "statements":
I am not even carefull sometimes. I went several Times to the States but never for good (with a B2 Visa). Great Lakes and especially Milwaukee was my favoured place, because I "lived" there with a real good looking Girl, but that was 1964. Today I do not even know her name anymore.
Why can´t you be good? Are you bad tempered?:-):-) No Anne I´m just trying to be funny.
So send me a pillow ´cause I go to bed now.
Pleasent wishes to you too,
Peter

Dear Anne,
the "e" in Anne make´s it real german. Big suprise. Our Special Investigator for unknown cases (he find everything) it is realy unbelivable what he can discover, found yr. Triftenberg.
Goethe wrote once: Unauflösliches - wer löst es? (try to translate) The Answer is: F r i e d h a r d t.
I already send you everything by email.
So I hope - and I guess Irmgard and Friedhardt too -, that you could get now step by step back to your past at least from yr. Fathers Side. Do not forget to put int. Coupons for Postage Fee (or just 2 Bucks) in the Envelope.
Wish you a pleasent day,
Peter

Liebe Forenmitglieder, namentlich unsere
edle und so göttliche Irmgard, als auch Friedhardt der immer sehr ruhig aber sachlich ist, wird explizit gegrüßt von Anne. Hier ihre eigenen Worte:

"Peter, please give my thanks to Irmgard and Friedhardt for me please will you? Thank you as well Peter.

Anne"
